Successful test workshops for the SAA project

Bart Borsje, Academy on Age-Friendly Environments in Europe BV

Two afternoons were organised in the Netherlands to test the SAA game on age discrimination. The first workshop took place at the offices of the Inclusion and Anti-Discrimination Foundation (IDb) in The Hague. Participants included two experts from IDb. At the request of a test subject, a separate workshop took place afterwards. Both workshops focused on the accessibility of the built environment.

All participants were very enthusiastic about the game’s design and beautiful layout. The content itself gave rise to discussion. Several areas for improvement were identified. These points of improvement were noted to be taken up by the project team. The participants expressed great interest in the final result. After the workshops, both workshops discussed the possibilities of using the game to draw attention to how to deal with age discrimination.
